Folder Window Size

I have Windows Professional XP on my pc and all the Service Packs are
installed. I place shortcuts for folders containing files I use frequently
on my desktop for quick access. Whenever I open the folder, the folder
window size is small and I have to stretch it bigger to see more files and
the details. The stretched size stays until I shutdown and restart my pc.
Then the folder window reverts back to the same default small size. I have
to stretch the folder window each time after a reboot. I have checked the
Remember Each Folders View Setting, Restore previous folder window at logon
and Applied to all folders under the View Option. Nothing seems to keep the
stretched size I perfer following a reboot. Some folders will stay at the
larger size and some will not following a reboot.
Any suggestions.

Hi

Drag the window to the size you want it, then close that window via
File>Close/Exit.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try it and I got no improvement. The
window stays large to the size I drag it to provided I do not shutdown the
PC. When I shut down and restart, the windows default back to the small size
again.
