How do I make slide transitions right after the last animation?

I have ppt version 2003 and on some slides after the last animation it
advances to the next slide, 2 of my slides do not advance. You need to do an
extra mouse click then the slide goes blank (all the animated text
disappears) then another click advances the slide.

Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

I figured it out, my last animation setting under 'effect options - after
animation' needed to be 'don't dim' instead of 'hide on next mouse click'.

I have a similar problem: I have a slide with animation, and as soon as its
animation is complete the show automatically continues to the next slide,
even though all slides are set to "fade smoothly" on mouse click. All other,
non-animated slides, function correctly, i.e. transition on mouse click as
intended. Any thoughts?
