How do i get the windows components (paintetc.)back after I lost t

I accidently uninstalled my my windows components (paint, calc, MS Outlook,
Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, etc.). I lost all of it and when i
tried to reinstall it in the Windows Components Installation, it asked for a
Service Pack 1 disc. My XP Home Edition was pre-installed so I have no discs.
Then I asked for support from my computer manufactuer and they said that the
only way I can get those programs back is if I reboot and restore my whole
computer (wiping everything). Is there anyway I can avoid this and get my
programs back?? I find it unreasonable that microsoft would put programs into
the computer that once are gone, are unattainable anymore. Why do i have to
re-do my whole computer just to get paint back??

See if there is a folder named "i386" either in the Windows folder or in the C:\ root. The i386 folder contains the source files needed to complete the A/R Components reinstallation.
