How do I get the picture for a hit counter to show up on my site?

I have added the web component for the hit counter and the server supports
FrontPage 2002 Server Extentions, but it gives me the little red "x" as
though it can't find the picture for the counter. The only indication for a
picture that it's looking for is "image=4" which doesn't tell me anything.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I am using FrontPage 2003 to do this.[

How did you create the image for the hit counter?

The image width with 0 to 9 must be evenly dividable by 10

It sounds as though you installed the hit counter with only the page open and not your web and then
the page, which will cause the counter bot to try to find fpcount.exe on your hard drive.

Make sure you have your Web open and then open the page.
Remove the hit counter and save the page.
Reinstall the hit counter and save the page.
Publish.
