How do I get the From line to appear in the message header?

Our home laptop has two e-mail addresses and I want the Sender or 'from' line
to show above the 'To' line in the message header. This is so I can pick
which sender is sending the e-mail (myself or the other user). I went to
View/Message Header but it only has Bcc. Can anyone help? It is Microsoft
Outlook 200 SR-1

Hi,

To show the "From" field in your email message, follow the appropriate steps below.

If you are using the Microsoft Outlook e-mail editor
On the View menu, click From Field.

If you are using Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor
Click the down arrow next to the Options button and choose "From"

That's not how the purpose of the From line. The Accounts button performs
that function.

I want the same thing but neither response answers the question put forth:
How do I (permanently) get the "From" field on the message header? Outlook
Express, for instance, has this. Thanks in advance for the help.

I want the same thing but neither response answers the question put forth
which is: How do I (permanently) display “From†in a new message header?
Outlook Express for instance, has it. Thanks in advance for the help.

The From field _will_ be one of the message headers included when you send
the message.

I’m sorry but I don’t understand your reply. I know how to include “From†in
the “Sent messages†window (if that’s what you refer to), but I want From to
appear in the new message window. As I stated, Outlook Express allows this
by including a “button†list to select from (similar to “To…â€, “Cc…â€. And
“Bcc…†.Again, thanks in advance.

We're talking at cross-purposes here. The From field in OE was used to
change the sending account. That's not what the From field is does in
Outlook. You choose the account in Outlook by using the Accounts button.
The From field is used to select from among the Exchange mailboxes to which
you are a delegate so that you can send messages on behalf of the person to
whose mailbox you are a delegate. If you want to see the From line on the
compose window, click View>From Field, but even if if contains nothing, your
recipient will see a From header that reflects the address associated with
the account you specified with the Accounts button.

Thanks for your reply. I guess we were talking cross purpose as you put it.
The bottom line on what I am attempting to do is easily select the sender
without having to go to the options tab. If I could do that, it would help
me to avoid sending new messages from the wrong account as I sometimes do by
needing to go up to options. Andani

And I've explained twice already how to do that.

Actually, you only explained it once and if you look at the thread, the
original sender stated they did not have a From option to select because they
only had Bcc, as do I.

And, as Brian said, select View->From field. to display the field in a new
message.

Basically, you are asking how to peel an apple (use OE style From field) and
we are talking about how to section an orange. (using Outlook View->From
field.)

They are completely different beasts and will never exhibit the same
behavior.

After furious head-scratching, andani asked this group:

And I told you (twice) that the Accounts button is what you want, not the
From field.
