Hello all,

I installed the Free Download Manager trying to go around the problem that I
posted in "Funny thing happens to my download windows" just half an hour ago.

After playing it awhle, i decided I didn't like it, and un-installed it. The
leftovers from FDM still appears on my right-clicked menu. One of the FDM
leftover menu item is "Download with Free Download Manager". So I tried to
get rid of it by do a search on regedit, guess what, I can't find it!!!! I
did a search for the following strings "Free Download", "Download Manager"
or "download", and even "manager" (which I found a few hundred!!!), but can't
see any text string that appears on my right-clicked menu...

Surely, the text string appears on the right-clicked menu would contains in
the Windows registry??? If not, then where? And how can i get rid of it???

Thanx in advance

Use the free ShellExView from Nirsoft to manage context menus. Then do a
scan for malware just to be sure your computer is clean. A lot of those
"free" download managers come with adware.
