How do I get Access Program to open

I have Microsoft Office 2003 and recently installed McAfee. Tried to open a
Access file today without success. When I click on the file or the Access
program, I get the "Preparing to Install" logo, but it disappears in less
than 5 seconds and nothing happens. All other Microsoft Office programs are
working fine.

Do I need to reinstall Microsoft Office 2003? Any help would be appreciated

Are you also the administrator for that computer? If not you need to be. If
at home you should not be having this problem unless someone went through a
lot of trouble. If at an office setting with an IT staff, talk to them.

You said Microsoft Office 2003. You need Microsoft Office Professional 2003
to get Access so this could be the problem. Open up Word and go to Help,
About Microsoft Office Word. If the second line doesn't have "Professional"
in it, you do not have Access.

McAfee could be the problem. If connected to the internet, unplug the wire
to the modem or network. Disable McAfee. See if Access will install now.
Either way enable McAfee and plug back into the internet.
