how do i fix this problem ?

when i turn on my computer windows stops
and "unmountable_boot_volume" apeares . nothing i do makes
a diference . how can a fix it ?

To recover from this error in XP you can use the recovery console (First
when u boot from the XP CD) to run CHKDSK /R. If that doesn't work u would
need to run a repair reinstallation of your OS. And if that doesn't work
(lets hope u don't need to get here) u would need to completely reinstall
your OS.

Hi Paul,

Boot the WinXP CD, run the Recovery Console. From the command prompt, run
bootcfg /rebuild.

Try booting into safe mode. Maybe someone will help you with some other
steps.
