How do I express 0 with a lash through it, all programs?

I need to write numeral zero with lashes to stand apart from Oo characters.
I believe there is a Microsoft standard that allows this.
Anyone remember?

If you go to Word click on [ Insert then Symbol] then click onto Font and go
to Accord lightSF where you have a lower case ø and an uppercase Ø.

and set it to all opened documents.

For it to work in all applications, including email you'll need to use a
font that contains a slashed zero. In Word, you can use an EQ \o field to
overstrike a zero with a slash; see

MS had it in some knid of setup as an option.

To the OP:
I don't think you'll find a font what a slashed zero anymore as a
default. AFAIR I haven't seen it used since the days of mono-monitors.
I tried searching for such a font, but that's a rough task. What
you -might- be able to do is find a font-design app that will let you change
the font letters to the way you want it. Then you'd get the dashed 7 and
the others from that era.
I've noticed some sites DO offer, for what seems to be a fair price if
you need it badly, to design a font FOR you to your specs. That might be an
altnernative.
Also check your printer test output to see if the printer has a native
font with what you need. I just checked my HP; it does not <g>.

Be sure you stick to True Type fonts; many others won't work in Office and
some other programs.

Leroy-P,

After trolling through another posting I found the following: I have tried
it out and it works, If you follow the instructions substituting the arrows
for what you require.
(When you type an "O" and then press the spacer bar it then puts the slash
across).

By default, the arrows are in the list of AutoCorrect entries. If they are
missing, you can create them again:
In the document, insert the symbol you want to use as the arrow and select it.
Then select Tools > AutoCorrect Options > AutoCorrect tab. In the "Replace"
field, type "<--" (or whatever you want to use to trigger the AutoCorrect
entry). The symbol you selected in the document should automatically be
filled into the "With" field. Make sure that "Formatted text" is selected.
Click Add.

Hope this solves the problem
