How do i export the "Global Address List" from exchange or outlook

Hi,
I need to exprt the "Global Address List" from exchange2000 or outlook2003
to excel.
i couldent find anything in the "Addesses" that would allow me to export it
or to copy it.
again this is not a contact folder but the GAL in exchange.

Its unbelivable that it would take a third party software just to export the
global address list......!!!!!
finally i found a workaround without buying and installing additional
software.

1. Create a new ditribusion list with all the address that you need
2. open it and click file-->save as-->txt
3. import to Excel

I'm happy to read that you found a workaround, but the link I supplied shows
that it doesn't take 3rd party software to export the GAL. There was a
section labeled PAB* and Outlook Express

the same results. I just wanted to state this because I don't want others
to reach a false conclusion.

* PAB is short for Personal Address Book. The PAB is supported in Outlook
97 thru Outlook 2003.
