How do I delete Word 2 & 3? I don't know how it got there.

For some unexplained reason I now have Word, Word (2) and Word (3). How do I
delete the last 2 and what caused them to appear?

Where exactly do you see them?

Without more information, I'm guessing you somehow created multiple
shortcuts to Word by dragging stuff around.

You will get such files if you use System Restore. The duplicate entries are
created so that you can fall back to a previous position.
