I m attempting to create a shortcut to a shared network folder on Outlook
2003. I can drag and drop to an open folder if I have explorer open but do
not seem to be able to put a shortcut in the Outlook bar...

Here are 2 ways you can try and see which works best for you.

On the Outlook Bar pane on the left choose the group you want to add the
shortcut to (outlook shortcuts, my shortcuts, other shortcuts or whichever
you choose to use) right-click on the background of the pane, and then click
Outlook Bar Shortcut .
Find the folder you want to add by clicking the File System option from
where it says "look in" and you should be able to locate the netowrk folder
you want to create shortcut to.

Drag and drop method: you open explorer grab the folder with the left mouse
button and drag it over and drop it on the outlook bar. be sure to NOT have
explorer full screen so you are able to easily drag and drop your folder onto
the outlook shortcut group of your choosing.

Hope this helps!
