How do I copy emails to a DVD to reduce my inbox?

I want to copy a bulk of email from my inbox to a DVD as I need to reduce the
size of my inbox. I do not wish to delete them as I may need them again.

What version of Outlook are you using and what type of mail account do you
have?

You can easily burn the contents of your PST to a CD or even DVD if you
wish, but you can't view them from the CD or DVD. Have you tried archiving
older emails?

It would help to know further details and why you're trying to make your
Inbox smaller so we can help you accomplish a good end result.

Do you want to copy the pst, copy messages only, or convert to a format that
can be read outside of outlook?

I'd export to HTML format so I didn't need outlook to read them. (see tools
at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/housekeeping.asp)
