how did I lose my saved incomming Emails

Ok, I am a beginer on the computer and my son had set it up. Some how I
messed up and lost my incoming Emails that I had saved; Person, his email
address, the time and date in order; exmple Joe, <[email protected]> then the
date and time on the right side. then on the far right side after it gave his
message From, To, date time, his message with an attachment etc Help I want
to get it back.
 
And how does this conceivably have anything to do with Word?
