How can I slow down the scrolling speed when highlighting text?

When highlighting text to move or delete in Word, I pull down with the mouse
and end up zipping to the end of the document. How do I slow down the
highlighting speed??

Try putting the cursor at the beginning of the line that you wish to begin
on. Then hold down the shift key and use the arrow keys. I have found this to
be more useful.

Click at one end of a desired selection. Use the slider on the vertical
scroll bar to bring the other end in view, then Shift+click there.
