how can I open a jp2 file?

Yes, a friend of mine had sent me pictures in the "jp2" format, I know that
her OS is the same that I have, WinXP. the only thing that I can think-of
that that format is for is either a Scanner or a digital Camera. does anyone
have any ideas? I hope so.
