How can I mark MULTIPLE messages as junk e-mail?

I am running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP. I have a folder full of e-mail for
which I would like to add the senders' addresses to my list of addresses that
are BLOCKED from reaching my inbox.

I see how to add these addresses ONE AT A TIME, but I have many too many
such messages to do this. How can I do this in one operation? When I select
multiple messages, the "Add Sender to Blocked Senders List" option goes gray.

Not possible - and a useless waste of time as well since the addresses used by spammers are spoofed and change minute by minute.

Suggest you look at accepting mail only from your contacts or safe list. And set your filter on high.

Milly,

I appreciate your reply and advice, and agree it might be appropriate for
MANY, if not MOST users. However, almost all e-mail SPAM filters provide
options for BOTH choices ... accept only SAFE senders and DON'T accept
blocked users. These choices are there because there are scenarios
appropriate for both.

AND ... most e-mail SPAM filters I have seen provide the option I was
looking for ... to BLOCK multiple senders in a single operation.

There are lots of senders I DO wish to block who do not change their sender
address "minute by minute."

Sincerely,

Victor Schwartz

WOW! How long with these BLOCKING SPAM/JUNK emails go on? I was just
reading a humorous but exact post between The Blue Max & Roady [MVP]
and I'm looking through the forum's seeing the same discussion over
and over and over again! We all obviously know what the problem(s) are,
how can we "encourage" the powers that be to act upon these obviously
important issues?
From the consumers for a Microsoft point-of-view; I've dealt with
thousands of customers over my 20 year experience and 1 of the number
one complaints over the past few years is "why do I get all these
unknown emails and how can I stop them?" Now we all know the only way
to stop them is to go back to pencils and paper but for emails I feel
that the only resolve is to have features that you can "select
multiple emails"
1. BLOCK - for the address that you never want to see
2. DENY for a period of time - you can select 1, 5, 15, 30
days....ect...

Granted this is a very broad issue. But until someone gets the ball
rolling and starts chipping away on a resolution, then all this
discussion is for what? NADA!

So, can someone get in touch with some of these powers that be and let
them know what the latest deal is?
Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer - CEO, Kevin Turner - COO, Ray Ozzie -

Officer

I know...you don't have reply to this last section. I was suddenly
over-come by a deep state of dreaming. Have a great day!

No, the only way to stop it is to make it economically worthless for
spammers to send their spew. Network providers could go a long way toward
this by simply refusing to carry the traffic of known spam-friendly networks
(like many of the Asian and South American networks), but money spaks too
loudly.
