Help - OL 2003 - Junk Mail

I am using OL 2003 and have been successfully filtering junk mail for
years. Whenever I have added an address to the blocked senders list,
it has worked.

Recently I have added 2 addresses (individuals, not SPAM) to the
blocked list. When I click on the individuals' address and click "add
to blocked senders list", the email disappears from the Inbox and goes
to the Junk Mail folder. HOWEVER, subsequent emails from the same
address DO NOT go to the Junk Mail folder automatically.

There are 2 addresses that exhibit this behaviour. I can add other
addresses to the blocked list and the filtering works fine. But for
some reason these other 2 addresses won't filter properly.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Are these addresses either in your Safe Sender list as well or in one of
your Contacts folders?

They are NOT on the Safe Senders list but they ARE in my Contacts
list.

The individuals are friends and I want to keep them in my Contacts but
they send me TONS of jokes and I am tired of wading through them.

Suggestions?

That's prpobably the answer, then. Click Actions>Junk E-mail>Junk E-mail
Options>Safe Senders. Is the box labeled "Also trust e-mail from my
Contacts" checked? If so, you explicitly told Outlook to consider any
Contact a Safe Sender and the Safe Sender list overrides the Blocked Sender
list.

Great! Thanks, Brian!
