Outlook 2007: Junk E-mail

The Junk E-mail tool works just fine with one exception. I have one recipient
that continues to end up in my Inbox even though each time I add it to the
Blocked Senders List. This sender does appear in the Blocked Senders List as
well. What can I do to ensure that this sender is routed to Junk & not to my
Inbox? Thanks.

Is this a spam message or just something from a particular individual that
annoys you? Did you try to open the Junk E-mail Options and manally enter
the person's address in the Blocked Sender list? Have you made sure the
address isn't also in the Safe Sender or Safe Recipient list?

It's not spam. The sender is actually one of my brothers! :) He's always
sending me jokes, etc. I have not tried manually entering him in the Blocked
list & he is not on the Safe Senders or Recipients list. However, I may have
found the culprit. I have the box checked for "Always trust e-mails from my
Contacts." On second thought though, I have my wife's brother blocked for the
same reason & he is in my Contacts yet email from him goes to Junk. The same
applies for my wife's profile as well.

However, unless the form of the sender address matches what's in the
Contacts folder, I don't think the Junk E-mail filter will be able to detect
that the sender is in your Contacts. So, your brother could be using a
sender address that matches the Contacts while the others are not. That
said, I'm just speculating on conditions that might lead to what you
describe. Did you add the latter two by right-clicking their addresses on a
message and choosing "Add to Contacts"?

I'm not sure what you mean by "...form of the sender address matches what's
in the Contacts folder." The email format is the same if that's what you
mean. I did not add the others to Contacts by right-clicking. I did go ahead
& followed one of your suggestions by removing his email address from BS's
then adding it back manually.

I've done everything you suggested and am still received my brother's email
directly in my Inbox. Thanks.

Describe the configurations of your accounts and describe exactly what
you've done.

Sorry, but I don't see how this answers my question.

Either I misinterpreted or the the entire thread of messages that I provided
did not make it through as the thread explained exactly what I had done based
on each of your suggestions. I'll go back & bullet each suggestion/action in
case there is a size limitation on the length of threads. My oonly other
question would be what specifically do you mean by "Describe the
configurations of your accounts..." I think I may have answered that earlier
but please let me know.
Thanks.

I went back through the thread and I can't see anywhere you specified the
account configurations.

OK, understand now. What are you looking for, i.e. Email, Data Files, RSS
Feeds, etc.

The e-mail account settings: servers, ports, account types, encryption
values, etc.

OK. I'll have to go back through the thread and refresh myself on what's
been said so far.

Do you have your send/.receive group configured to download the entire
message body or only the headers?

Is your brother's address in your Contacts folder and do you have the Junk
E-mail options configured to treat the Contacts as safe senders (the "Also
trust e-mail from my Contacts" option)?
