How can I make office outlook my default for incoming mail?

My incoming mail goes to outlook express. I would like it to come to office
outlook. I have spoken to the outlook help team several times and after
checking or changing details in e-mail accounts and a test thru 'send and
receive' if appears that office outlook becomes my default for incoming mail.
But after shutting down my incoming goes back to express. Can someone help
me on this??

Did you look in Outlook Express? Set it as NOT being the default mail
handler too.

Hi Bill,

when I access programs in Internet Connections, the e-mail is going to
office outlook. I'm wondering (in my none techo head) whether the problem is
that I just can't see my mail in office outlook. Is it hidden somewhere???

Only if you maybe have a filter on that hides it or it all goes into Junk
email or is moved elsewhere by a rule.

Are both OE and Outlook running at the same time? The default client mainly
controls MAPI and simple MAPI issues such as when using mailto links. If
you, say, run OE for News run it with the /outnews switch added to the
command path to disable email transport in it. news will still work.

Easy. Stop running Outlook Express and it can't pick up the mail.
Alternatively, uncheck the "Include this account when checking for new
messages" box in your account properties. Third, you can delete the mail
account from OE.
