How can I enable Win2000 as a network fax server?

Keith

Dear all,

As titled, may I know how to achieve it? The machine is installed with
Win2000 server...

This is a interim solution as we would consider to purchase some network fax
softwares such as "Right Fax" when a CRM project is implemented at Q1 next
year.

Thank you very much...

Windows 2000 server does not come with a network fax service. You need to
install SBS on your 2000 server or get WIndows 2003 server, which is the
only current Microsoft server OS that comes with a network fax service.

The server disc has a the Faxserver software tuckd into a folder. I think
utilities. You can install it from there. Then there is a client folder as
well that you install from the server over the network once the server has
been installed and configured.

Hope this helps

You cannot share a fax printer (in your words, 'a network fax server') on a
Windows 2000 operating system. You must at least have SBS 2000. The best &
latest would be to buy a Windows Server 2003 operating system.
