HTML messages in Outlook have similar options to standard web pages: I would
assume that some form of Internet Explorer is used to view HTML formatted
email messages.
However, editing options don't always work as you would hope, primarily due
to the infinitate number of CSS styling options available for drafting HTML
formatted emails.
Since the default editor allows you to "View source" when you are editing an
email,
it seems like you should be able to edit the HTML directly (in the same way
you can edit locally stored HTML messages using Internet Explorer). But if
you edit the text file that appears for View Source in Outlook 2003 and save
it, you are only saving some copied/cacned/temp version of the file.
How can those who want to edit the HTML directly edit HTML-formatted emails
in Outlook? If we can't, is there a way to locate the mail file OUTSIDE of
Outlook (for editing; outlook will load the source at next application-start).
If not, how to we request this option from the developers?
Thanks.
