How can I Change the product key on Windows XP SP2?

N

Nigel Bruce

I am sorry to post this here, but the Windows XP general newsgroup seems to
be down..

I have an Win XP image with lots of business applications. All run fine, but
this is running on Windows with a OEM license.

Have just purchased a legit VLA for XP upgrade and I was wondering (well
praying) that instead of building a another PC from the ground upwards using
this VLA if there was a way of transferring the VLA licence key to the PC
with the OEM Licence?

We update our image quite regular and the 30 days has expired on the old PC
also OEM OS licences are not permitted to be imaged according to the MS
EULA.

Any help would be much appreciated and if it can be done it would save me
hours of extra work

Hope this makes sense?

Many thanks

No. You'll have to construct a new image using
the VL CD and Product Key.
