hi, for the past three days now I cannot access my (free)e-
mail account at hotmail.com anymore. Installing service
pack 2 did not help either. I can get into all other
pages. No viruses no adware. Thanks Micha

Why did you think that installing SP2 would help you to access a hotmail
account?

This is an issue that you will need to take up with Hotmail Support.

Try deleting your cookies & temporary internet files
(Tools > Internet Options > General ....)

Check the HOSTS file
(open up "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS" in notepad and look for
hotmail related entries)

Check your firewall settings aren't blocking the page

Ask your parents if they may have blocked you

Hi:

If you have MSN Explorer then try accessing your Hotmail email account
through it. Once you have signed in to MSN Explorer then click on "Email" in
the top toolbar, which is your Hotmail email account.

Wrong forum. You not being able to access Hotmail has nothing to do
with XP.

In the future dont UPGRADE YOUR OS JUST to solve an email issue.
