Hotmail page does not load after typing in user name and password

When I try to login to Hotmail using IE6 on XP home, the login screen loads
fine, but after entering my login details and clicking login, I get a blank
screen and nothing loads. The progress bar moves very slowly but nothing
happens. There are no error messages. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have found that I can no longer use IE6 to access my Hotmail accounts.
I don't know why. When I discovered this problem, I installed Mozilla
1.7.5 (the browser only) and Firefox 1.0. I am able to sign in to my
Hotmail accounts using either of these browsers and now use Mozilla or
Firefox when I want to sign in to Hotmail.
