Page Cannot Be Displayed

Hellen

Hi All,

I am using windows XP, with IE6 SP1. I have update the
security patch Q832894, Q831167

For some reason, I cannot access Hotmail anymore. The
error I am getting is 'PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED'.

Going to the hotmail login page is fine. After I enter
the login and password, and press enter the message 'PAGE
CANNOT BE DISPLAYED' appears after afew seconds. I have
reset the IE settings to default. I have checked the
Security setting SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0. I have deleted the
temporary internet files (offline as well). I have
reinstalled IE6 SP1. Nothing seems to work.

I get the same problem with some webmails or secure web.

This is driving me mad. Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers
Hellen

Thank You,
I happened to have had a similar problem when logging on
to my yahoo launch music. Your suggestion (Type in:
regsvr32 softpub.dll) worked!!! What is that and why did
i have to do that to make my musice launch work again.
why do you think my launch stopped working in the first
place.

Thank You
Brian

Go to start/run
Type in: regsvr32 softpub.dll
Press Enter or click OK

If that doesn't help, see the below links

Hi Brian, I do not know why your music launch didn't work
before, but if the re-registering of the softpub.dll
worked, then great.
