Hotmail and cookies

Dehlia

I've been trying to register with MSN Hotmail but keep getting: *Your
Web browser options are currently set to disable cookies. To use .NET
Passport, you must enable cookies.*

But my cookies are fully enabled! (I have IE6 on XP) - and I have
deleted cookies and TIFs hoping it would help, but it doesn't. What
else can I do to get an account then?

Tks to both.
I seem to have done all that has been suggested. But

still gives me *Your Web browser options are currently set to disable

Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

The same thing happens in other browsers. I'm close to giving up on
Hotmail.

Both the .NET Passport and MSN mail servers have been giving problems to
many users in recent weeks, Dehlia, so the problem may well be on that end.
Can you successfully negotiate the sign-on on another machine?

I will try as soon as I am able to lay my hands on another machine.
I was going for a Hotmail account so that I can set up a MSN messaging
account. Would you by chance know whether, for this purpose, I could
just set up .Net Passport and use any other mail account?

Thank you for having helped me through this.
