Hello Group,

--Windows XP Pro
-- PPPoE Connectivity
-- Modem-Gateway combination

I have IIS setup on my computer, have the security and such setup, but just
purchased a static IP address and am desiring to host my own web site. I
have looked extensively for KB support and have not come up with anything as
to how to configure IIS and Networking to do such.

My system has a Gateway/Modem which has an IP Address exposed to the
internet and an IP address for my network card to access the gateway. Could
anyone tell me what and where I have to configure to get my localhost
exposed to the internet for clients to access?

Thank you very much

Some variable but
sounds like what you're calling Gateway/Modem is a router,, real ip on
wan, local LAN ip to your computer or network hub/switch.
If so, normally you would need to configure a virtual server port, sometimes
called port forwarding in your 'Gateway/Router.

If it cant do port forwarding/v-servers, it can most likely be configured to
act as a modem only and pass the real ip and connection duties to your
computer.... then you'd probably want to add a normal broadband gateway
router for the NAT and firewall security they offer and configure it to do
the port forwarding & connection.
