Home --> Pro?

Just bought a new Gateway PC with XP Home. Tried to run the install of XP
Pro and it seemed to install OK. But when we try to install Visual Studio
..NET 2003, it says its not compatible with the OS. It seems like it things
it is still a XP Home system. what is the best way to install Pro over
Home???

..NET requires a lot of "prerequisites" to be in place - you sure you are not
missing one of those? It should point them out to you..

If you Start -> Run

Does it tell you that you have Windows XP Professional? (The graphic)
