Home page access

I recently installed Office 2003 and Norton Internet Security 2005 and now
everytime I try to log onto my home page I get the follolwing message,

..NET Passport Unavailable at This Site Help
The .NET Passport service is currently unavailable at this Web site for one
of these reasons:
• The site may contain an error or be experiencing a problem that affects
the .NET Passport service.
• The site may not be an official .NET Passport-participating site.
You can:
• Return to this site later and try to sign in or register again.
• Sign in or register for a .NET Passport at another .NET Passport
participating site. .NET Passport Site Directory.

I've tried setting my homepage to different ones but get the same message no
matter where I try to jump onto the net. I'm still able to navigate the net
through drop down addresses or favorites but all initial access gives me the
same message. Any ideas on how i can correct this?

It could be due to Windows Messenger.
If you don't want it at all and your OS (not disclosed?) is XPsp2
use the new Manage Add-ons tool (in IE: Alt-T,A)
to disable that program.
