Keep trying, Phil. Move browstat.exe into C:\Utility folder. Then run
"browstat status". If that works do "browstat status >c:\browstat.txt", then
"notepad c:\browstat.txt".

Hi Chuck. the browstat is in the utility folder. it is 40kb. when i look at
the properties so i'm sure it is in there. When readind and article it says
when you type cmd and the box opens it said be a new command box with the
computer name. When I do it it has the heading of
"C:\windows\system3cmd.exe" Could that be where the problem is for this not
working?

OK, Phil. Try running it as "c:\utility\browstat status".

I tried c:\utility\browstat status, I get "the directory name is invalid"
I have tried countless ways, I have tried moving the utility folder and
nothing has clicked yet.

OK, let's get serious. Follow procedure precisely.
1) Open a command window.
2) Type "cd \" (less the "", for steps 2 - 5).
3) Type "dir *.". Do you get output? NOTE the "*."!
4) Type "dir *. >c:\dir.txt".
5) Type "notepad c:\dir.txt".
6) Copy and paste Notepad output, and post.
