HJ Splitter Joining "Access Denied"

I know someone else had a topic about this here, because I found this place while reading it. I'm trying to join some files that form a movie, the first file ending in .000 and the last .crc (I've got a copy of them in a separate file where I've changed the .000 to .001 and removed the .crc file but still doesn't work).

For some reason, despite my having checked and made sure the files are unchecked for Read Only I get "Access Denied".

Any help?
