Hit Counter in Frontpage 2003 not working?

I published a website for our football club in FP2002 and added a Hit Counter
which worked perfectly. Since updating to FP2003 the Hit Counter doesn't
operate.
Can someone tell me what to do to reinstate the Hit Counter? Following the
"add hit counter" assistance hasn't helped!

Try republishing the page with the counter or try opening the site live on
the server, and delete and reinsert the counter (it may reset it to 0, but
it may fix the problem).
