my speakers have suddenly gone all wierd. all music and
sounds are high pitched and echo. it's not the speakers
themselves cos i'v checked them on another computer and
they'r fine. someone reckons that i'v got some kind of
filter switched on, but if that's the case i'v got no idea
how i switched it on or how to switch it off again. i'v
tried all the troubleshooters on XP but on help. anyone
any ideas? i'm really missing ny music so any help would
be appreciated. thanks

Double click on the loudspeaker icone in the taskbar > Options > Properties
check recording > OK > make sure all the sliders are down, especially
microphone.

Do you have any other musci software installed ? If so open it up and make
sure you've got no filters selected.

Cheers,
Jerry
