With Win XP Pro, occcasionally shutdown hangs. The
sequence is I get a pop-up that says it cannot close
EXPLORER.EXE. When the count down bar ends, I click
close. Then I get a pop-up that says cannot close
HiddenFaxWindow. No file extension, no dll, no exe; just
the HiddenFaxWindow name. When the countdown bar ends, I
click on close. Then I again get a pop-up window that
says cannot close EXPLORER.EXE. When the count down bar
ends, I click close, and then shutdown finshes.
I did have XP Pro fax saupport loaded, and uninstalling it
is an option, but I really need to find a fix to this
since I occasionally need fax support.
By the way, the system is a Pentium 4 with 384 MB Ram and
an HP Deskjet 1200 printer.
Any help or insight woud be appreciated.
Thanks,
