Hidden Files

I can't find my folder options to uncheck "hidden files" so that I can see them

This is going to be either a very easy question or a very difficult one. 99% of those who will respond
will say go to tools...folder options..view tab..and click show hidden files and folders. This is not
going to work because I've already done that and under TOOLS, I do not have Folder Options listed in
the drop down menu. I've spent hours looking all over XP for my Hidden Files and Folder Options.
I hope to hear from someone who can help.

Thanks

There's another folder options, this one in Control Panel.
You can try there, if you haven't already: Control Panel > Folder
Options.

Is this your home computer, or are you at work?

Try Start, Control Panel, Appearances & Themes, Folder Options, View, click
Show Hidden Files. This is of course if you are not using the Classic View
option. If you are using Classic View then Start, Control Panel, Folder
Options, View, Show Hidden Files. This should help you with your problem.

Hi,

There is no folder options folder ANYWHERE. I need to either find a way to
create it or find another way.
