hibernation

about 5 weeks ago, when I tried to change my power
options[to hibernate] at two hours instead of 3-it did not
work, and no mater how I try, I can't get the computer to
hibernate anymore. It used to do all-ie: monitor turns off
after a set time, hard disks shut down, etc. It just won't
hibernate and "hibernation" on my computer is enabled.

Hi Mick,

I did a quick search for this on google but didn't come up with anything
tangible. One site mentioned a bunch of hiberation fixes in a windows
update package. Do you have the latest critical updates? My one suggestion
would be to delete the hiberfil.sys that lives at the root of your
installation drive and see if that doesn't fix it.

Let me know if that works,
