Hibernation

I have WinXP Pro. When coming back from Hibernation mode I lose all contact with the internet. (Both IE and Outlook
Sometimes if I unplug and replug the cable it will return. If I reboot it's fine. Is there a setting that will fix this

Don't forget to take away the remove this and parenthesis in the email. Thank You
