Hibernation/Sleep Error

Hello,
So, in the Start menu, the Shut down button goes to a "sleep" mode. Before,
it did work, and was great!! But now, I've done something. I am thinking it
is now not working because of one of these:
1) When I cleared the unnecessary files on my computer, I cleared the
Hibernation files. I am not sure how to reactivate Hibernation.
2) I am Unplugging My AC Power Cable. Maybe, as it says it is in a "low
power state" it still needs power to function - though it does look
completely off...
When I boot up after this type of shutdown, it says my computer did not shut
down correctly, and gives me the safe mode, normal etc. options...
Any Ideas?

Go to Start-Control Panel. And activate the hibernation mode in the "power
settings" and assign it to any button on your keyboard or Shutdown button.

Hello A. T. -
"Hybernation" no longer appears in this menu, only sleep and shutdown. I am
currently using Shutdown, as sleep results in the error mentioned in my first
post...
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Ryan
