Hibernation + Repair System

After installing SP2 for WinXP Pro, my system will go into hibernation
although the hibernation option is unchecked. The only way to get out of
hibernatuin is hard start(kill power and restart). I thought if I inserted
XP Pro disk and found the option to repair this may provide a solution.
However upon insertion of XP Pro disk, autorun.exe, I get a message that
tells me the system is newer than that on the disk and will not run. How do
I run a repair on the system I now have (winXP Pro + SP@)?

Add'Remove will take out SP2, if you want to run a Repair setup, but I doubt it will effect the expected behavior of Hibernation.
Hibernation IS a 'hard restart' by design
