I added a program that I can't remove from the system because I need it for
daily work. It seems that there is not enough time in the settings of
hibernation shutdown to allow for a full hibernation, now, however. It makes
it through everything but the power down stage at which point the screen
stays blue/blank and the power light on my laptop remains on but no fan is
running. In order to get a response, the power button has to be held down
first to manually shut down and then a full restart must occur by powering
back up. If I minimize all programs and make sure that Microsoft streets and
trips is not running and my USB lan card is disconnected it hibernates
normally. I believe I heard in the past that you can change a setting to
give it more time to do it's thing. Am I correct, anyone? Any feedback
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, TW
