Hiya!

Anyone know why a wireless network will not resume its connection after
waking up from hibernation?
I've noticed that even if you disable the wireless network first then
re-enable after wake up it still doesn't want to work.
The only solution in both events is a reboot which makes hibernation
useless for wireless network users!!
Any ideas?

Thanx!

What type of wireless device do you have. Is it a USB adapter or pci card or
what. From what you have said it sounds like its not the wireless part but
the connection its plugged into. As you said it doesn't matter if the
wireless is disabled before hibernating.

It gives me a clue to what I would try next. I would check the settings on
the usb hub and device to see if the system is set to turn off the
power (to conserve notebook battery) when not in use. My theory would be,
if the system had turned off the power because the device was not in use
and saved that state when it went into hibernation...

Hope that helps

Hi again

Yeah thanks, that sounded logical to me, but unfortunately it made
things worse. On resume all sorts of services crashed and the system
locked up completely. Could indicate we're on the right trail though....
