Here's a good one - hidden text printing

Here's my problem: I have a Word doc (2003) that is visible when I print the
page, but not when viewing the document in any view format, normal, print
layout. This is just on one line of the 98 page document. The strange part of
all of this is when I add hard returns to see if the hidden text will move,
it doesn't. It's almost like it's layered behind the normal text. I have
tried looking for a textbox, but no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Does the "hidden text" show in Print Preview?

No it doesn't show up in print preview. I thought it was something to do with
the print driver, but this shows up no matter what printer is used.

I have checked header/footers, textbox - I thought something might be
layered. Nothing. Any ideas?

You might check the printer Properties to see if some sort of watermark is
being added by the printer driver. If not, then you get into the amazing
gray area of stuff hidden in XML and the like. I've seen some very weird
documents that had this type of problem.
