in your outlook express...

why recently does 'localhost' appear in the POP3 box under the a/c propteries tab, with the details that WERE there, being now appended after the account name, eg- taboo.x/pop3.eidosnet.co.uk ,
as this causes no mailboxes to be accessed until edit things back to how they were.

Usually this is because of Anti Virus email scanning software, to test then
temporarily disable. If this is the cause then I would suggest you check out
the vendor web site for an update or workaround.
