HELP!

I have a legal copy of Windows XP Home Edition that I had on a computer that
bit the dust. I got a Dell Inspiron 4000 Laptop from my work that had
Windows 2000 Professional on it. Because the other one is broken I figured I
could boot up and install the XP on this computer. When I went in to
install, it asked me if I wanted to put it on the same partition with 2000
and I said yes. Now my puter isn't working right. When I go into add/delete
programs under control panel, there are no programs installed in either XP or
2000 so I can't just delete XP which is what I want to do. When it boots, it
asks me which version of Windows I want to boot up with. Obviously XP is not
going to work on this puter. Please tell me how to get it off my compter
manually....I want to remove the entire XP program, I put the CD back in the
drive, but there is no unistall feature on it. Help!

Okay...after reading alot more posts I figured out why it didn't work, I
should have used XP Pro, not Home. So how do I get this XP version off my
puter?

How do you uninstall the OS? How about format?

You edit the boot.ini to remove the ref to winxp, and simply delete the
winxp Folder

BTW what make you think it will work with winxp pro?
