I was wondering... there is this thing turned on in my
computer that when I am searching that suggests what I
have searched before that starts with that letter,
something kind of like auto-fill or something... how
would one turn that off?

Open the search box and, at the left, click on OTHER SEARCH OPTIONS|CHANGE
PREFERENCES. Look for the enble/disable auto complete box.
