HELP

I would appreciate very much if someone can help me with
the following problem:

I made a change in the "Display" (under control panel)
from small font to large font, and I believe
under "Colors" (or could have been under screen) by moving
the "Arrow" to the higest setting. I did this on Compaq
Presario and I believe it has Windows 2000 (I am not sure
as to the type of Windows). Then when I restarted the
computer I could not get to the start up screen. It gives
me fuzzy lines. How can I undo what I did so I can get to
the start screen and be able to use the computer.

heh - it seems that you have changed the refresh rate or
resolution or the colour settings. What you must do is -
start the PC in "safe mode" - then go to "Display" - there
on the settings tab choose "Advanced". Then monitor tab
choose "60 hertz". Then click "OK". Then choose "640 by
480" and "16 colours". Then click "OK". And when it asks
how to apply the new settings - choose " Restart and
apply". It should be ok then. Then adjust the settings in
again in normal mode.
