File Directories are Backwards

I have Windows 98SE and Windows 2000 Pro dual booted on a computer.
when I open a folder in 98, the sort begins with "A" if sorted by
filename, or begins with the newest date, if sorted by date, or smallest
file if sorted by file size.

When I'm booted to Win2000, all of this is reversed. That really gets
on my nerves. Yea, I know, if I click on the tiny arrow under filename,
it reverses, or click on that same arrow under date, the date order
reverses, etc. ut it dont stay that way. How can I fix that
permanently?

Thanks

Windows Explorer:
Tools > Folder Options > View > check "Remember each folder's view settings"
