Help! WMM default transition not working

J

just me

When I drag and drop pictures into my timeline or storyboard, I am not
getting a transition. I have tried changing the default transition duration, and
restoring defaults, still no luck. I know this used to work, I don't know when
it broke though (I haven't used WMM in the past few months).

Any idea how to fix it?

You need to add the transitions yourself. Drag and drop your clips, then
2. Edit Movie -> View video transitions -> make a choice -> drag and
drop between clips.

Maybe you are thinking about Photo Story 3...
in Movie Maker you must add the transitions
and effects manually.

Thanks Jim & John, you're absolutely right. I thought I remembered
that the transitions were automatic, but obviously they're not.

Note to MS (if another version of WMM is ever planned), a checkbox
on the "Options" tab to "Automatically add transition", and a default
transition selection, would be nice.
