HELP with WINDOWS MAIL Can't IMPORT from outlook 2007 PST MAPI E

I have office 2007 full version running and installed to all defaults and i
need to import my exported pst into window mail in vista ultimate 64-bit. I
have tried repairing office 2007 to no avail. I have tried setting outlook to
all defaults and even windows mail for the heck of it. Can some one please
help with mapi error messages cannot be imported from mapi client

You mention an exported .PST file. Did you export a .PST on another system
then import this .PST into Outlook 2007 on Vista rather than making a COPY
of the .PST on the old system, placing the copy on the Vista box where it
wouldn't overwrite anything Outlook 2007 made when installed, then opening
it with 'File|Open\Outlook Data File? I ask this because the .PST
export/import functions in Outlook have been broken for a long time. Using
these functions to move a .PST file not only loses data, it also commonly
damages the Outlook profile in use and a damaged profile *MIGHT* produce
such a symptom. I say might in BIG letters because:

1. Its a guess. I've never been able to reproduce this particular problem.
2. Damaged Outlook profiles can produce some extremely bizarre behavior.

You might try creating a new profile.
